MArch Architecture (ARB/RIBA part II)

Ahad Mahmood

Of Robbers, Kites and Paper Gardens

This project explores the mythological relationship between the city of Lahore and its dying garden culture by re-imagining F.A.Steel's surreal collection of short stories 'Tales of Punjab' as 43 'gardens'. Set in the Changa Manga Forest south-west of Lahore, the new gardens combine historic myth with permaculture; creating architectures that aim to rekindle Lahore's connection to its gardens.
