Leo Shafod's Manifested Mythos
In this project, the design of a mythical island demonstrates how fiction evolves into a sense of romantic national belonging. Through an imagined pilgrimage across the island, a fictional Professor guides pilgrims through five artefacts from British mythology and the nostalgic landscapes in which they reside. Through this, he reconnects inhabitants to the idea of homeland by restoring shared imagination developed from common history and setting.
