Panagiotis Agis Valsamis

The Finsbury Circus

This project proposes the introduction of an actual circus to the site of Finsbury Circus in the City of London, with the aim of providing an expression of the public mood as lockdown measures ease and people are able to gather for celebratory events again. Performances will include acrobatics, tight- rope, contortion and aerial including rope, flying trapeze and hoop. The building comprises a public circulation route flanked by ancillary accommodation and practice spaces, with the performance space situated as a celebratory gesture at the end.
