The Myth of Aokigahara Jukai

As suicide cases in Aokigahara Jukai, Japan continue to increase, a magical narrative is introduced, allowing a shift away from these tragic narratives and to instead experience the forest from the mythical perspective of Shinto. Purification rituals are created to restore the spiritual balance of the forest. Shrines are designed as sacred sites where the human, natural and spiritual realm converge.
